Research Interests

My research focus is the implementation of advanced diagnostic technologies into the field of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), especially at low magnetic field, using the FFC technique (Fast Field Cycling). Clinically−relevant pilot studies using FFC−MRI have shown that this technique provides pertinent and unique information on disease mechanisms, and has a unique ability to characterise tissue remodelling thanks to its facility to measure the effects of molecular dynamics and protein networks at the nanometre scale. These capabilities bring enormous potential for exploitation in the screening and early diagnosis of diseases, evaluation of patients response to treatment and disease prognosis.
