My research activity is mainly focused on ...

My research activity is mainly focused on the development of strategies for cells visualization by MRI (e.g. Hypotonic swelling, macropinocytosis, etc ...) upon loading of Gd−complexes and on the investigation of the intracellular fate of these complexes. Furthermore, she was involved in the study of the Gd−retention and accumulation in the body upon multiple administrations of clinically approved Gd−chelates. Finally, she is interested in the Relaxometric characterization of small molecules, supramolecular adducts and tissues and in the development of FFC-NMRD based methods for the the early diagnosis of diseases (e.g. breast cancer)

My project focuses on ...

My project focuses on Gadolinium retention in organs and tissues after the administration of Gadolinium Based Contrast Agents (GBCAs) in murine models. The main target of the research is to investigate causes and mechanisms behind this process, in order to avoid it.

My research focuses on ...

My research focuses on synthesis, characterization and preclinical development of MRI contrast agents based on paramagnetic metals (Gd, Fe, Mn). I am also involved in the GADOPLUS project titled "Preclinical and clinical development of Gadoplus, a high relaxivity contrast agent for magnetic resonance".
