Research Interests
The focus of my research is to develop novel pH imaging approaches to assess spatial and temporal tumor pH evolution during cancer progression. The main goal is to access the pH heterogeneity during the cancer progression (starting from dysplasia to invasive cancer) using MRI-CEST pH imaging approaches, histological and protein level analyses of tumor acidosis, glucose transporters and proton transporters markers in breast cancer (PyMT) and prostate (TRAMP) transgenic mouse models. I am also interested in exploring how metabolic pathway affected during pH evolution by analyzing metabolic imaging of Glycolysis, Pentose phosphate pathway (PPP) and Tricarboxylic acid pathway (TCA) pathway.
